Etiqo is built on work other people gave away. Here is what we use and what we owe them.
Every flag in Etiqo is drawn from flag-icons by Panayiotis Lipiridis, converted from SVG into vector PDF so it stays sharp at any size. The project is available at github.com/lipis/flag-icons and is used under the MIT License.

Country names, official names, capital cities, regions and subregions, official languages, currency codes and names, demonyms, international calling codes and coordinates contain information from the countries dataset by Mohammed Le Doze (github.com/mledoze/countries), which is made available here under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0.

That reference data remains available under the ODbL. The original, unmodified dataset can be obtained from github.com/mledoze/countries. The cultural guidance, quizzes, phrases and word lists in Etiqo are separate original works and are not covered by the ODbL.
Etiqo uses the system typefaces built into iOS, and iconography from Apple's SF Symbols library, both under Apple's terms for developers.
The cultural rules, quiz questions, phrases and word lists in Etiqo were researched and written for this app. They describe common expectations, not rules that apply to every person in a country, and they are not legal or safety advice. If we have got something wrong, or described your culture in a way that misses the mark, we want to hear about it.
